Old Crow: Tennessee Pusher

Old Crow Medicine Show
Old Crow Medicine Show

This is a killer deal, and time is of the essence, so I’ll make this a short post. Between now and Monday you can purchase and download the new record from Old Crow Medicine Show for just FIVE BUCKS.

Tennessee Pusher hits stores on Sept. 23rd but you can pre-order it now at the Old Crow website. The album was produced by Don Was and features 13 tracks. Listen to the first single “Caroline” at the band’s MySpace page. Preview all 13 tracks here on Amie Street.

Their big hit song Wagon Wheel (from the “OCMS” release) has over the last couple of years become my go-to song at folkie jam sessions…everybody seems to know it. It’s right up there with The Weight (The Band) and Paradise (John Prine). This new record—their third—continues their fun run of down-home, drug-and-alcohol fueled brand of Americana-oldtime-bluegrass. Recommended!

And just in case you’ve been living in a cave for the last couple years—here is the video of Wagon Wheel:
