New York folklorist Mick Moloney, who has won the National Heritage Award from the National Endowment for the Arts, has a knack for bringing together the brightest American performers of Irish traditional music. Last year he spearheaded a 70-minute video of Irish music, dance and story titled “Absolutely Irish,” from WGBH Boston. Check out this excerpt, a rollicking set of reels played by three fiddle goddesses who are having way too much fun, with John Doyle on guitar.
Fiddlers Liz Carroll, Eileen Ivers, and Athena Tergis.
